As stated previously, each owner will have to post a Minor League Roster list.
When trading for minor leaguers, all minor leaguers on teams minor league lists can be traded for.
All Minor League eligible players that are not on your 27 man Major League roster do not count toward accumulating stats, and are forever protected.
In the event that Team A places a major league player onto waivers and that player clears waivers, then he can be re-assigned onto Team A minor league roster. These major league players who have salaries in your minor league system will count against your team salary cap.
Note: Players who are Minor League Eligible at the beginning of each season retain their Minor League eligibility even if they reach the 150ab/50 ip in Majors during that season. However, they must be called up to the Major League Roster the following off-season and be assigned the initial base major league salary or else they will be deemed a Free Agent.
No players that have already reached their career plateau of 150/50 at the beginning of the season are allowed in your Minor League System. This rule does not apply to players who previously cleared waivers and were demoted to MILB.
Minor leaguers that are on the Minor League Rosters (and who weren't bid on in FA) who get called up will be assigned a base salary of 300,000 for 4 years .
In the event that a team decides to send a minor league eligible player back down to their minor league roster after he has been called up, he shall still be subject to the terms of the above contract stated.
* Minor League salaries for these circumstances do count against your salary cap*
Each June, Major League Baseball holds it's Amateur Draft. After our Inaugural EGDL 2012 season, we will be selecting players in this draft via a 5 round optional EGDL Amatuer Draft. By optional, we mean that if you feel your MILB is loaded and wish not to participate, then you do not have to. Draft position for our draft will be determined by reverse order of the previous years standing. The draft will snake. Foreign players will not be draftable, as they will be part of the MLB FA auction. At no time during this MILB Draft may a team go over the 40 man MILB roster.
Only amatuers that sign with MLB ballclubs are eligible to be drafted. Meaning, if a prospect is taken in the June Amateur draft by an MLB club but decides to decline and go back to school- then he is not eligible to be drafted.
